12 - Heads Up

May 11, 2016
When my wife and I were first married, we would talk in bed late into the night, my wife gradually shouldering more and more of the conversational load, my responses getting shorter and shorter, until at some point she realized that I had fallen asleep and that she'd been engaging in a monologue rather than a dialogue.

Otter inherited my wife's ability to monologue. We don't necessarily have to be be asleep (although sometimes we are). Lots of times, he won't even wait for a response from us. He'll just say what he has to say and keep on truckin'.
